Christel Takigawa Receives 'Platinum Muse Award'

TOKYO — Freelance anchorwoman Christel Takigawa, 32, was the guest of honor at the recent “Platinum Muse Award” ceremony. After receiving a platinum necklace, she said happily “I don’t mean to blow my own horn, but platinum suits me perfectly.”
This award is given each year by the industry to the “woman who shines like platinum.”
Takigawa explained: “Platinum matches the way I live and the way I think. It is something that has high purity and will not lose its value. I hope that describes me, too.”
Naturally, she was asked what type of guy she likes. “Someone who is passionate about his work would be ideal,” she replied.
